If you bought a version 1 license on or after January 20, 2023, you’re eligible for a free upgrade to the same license type (i.e. Personal or Business).

What happens when I buy a license?
Your browser will take you to a page showing your license key. You will also immediately receive an email with your license key. It will include instructions about how to copy and paste it into the program’s License Manager. If you don’t receive the email within a few minutes, check your Spam folder. If it’s still not there, please contact us here.
Can I upgrade multiple Business licenses at once?
Yes. In the upgrade form, you can enter all of your version 1 licenses in the “License key” field and it will compute the final price for you.
You only get one discounted upgrade per license. While you can buy more licenses than you currently have, the additional licenses will be at full cost.
I just bought a version 2 Personal license. Can I upgrade to Business?
Yes. The cost is $20 which is the price difference between the two.
The form says my license key isn't eligible for a discount, but it should be. What do I do?

What are the license terms?
The license follows whoever it’s assigned to and they may use it on as many devices and platforms as they wish, either at home or at work or anywhere else.
A Personal license is assigned only to you and cannot be transferred to any other person. It lasts for life.
A Business license can be assigned to other people so long as it’s only assigned to one user at a time. For instance, if an employee leaves and you hire a replacement, you can assign the old employee’s business license to the new employee. It’s up to you to handle license assignments. If you want multiple employees to use it, you must buy one for each. A business license lasts forever.
You may also use Business licenses in a lab or a similar scenario where the users frequently change. You must buy at least as many licenses as your maximum number of concurrent users. Although you will receive multiple license keys, you may issue just one of them if that’s more convenient for your setup.
Does a license come with free upgrades?
You will get free minor version upgrades (e.g. 2.0 to 2.1). Major version upgrades (e.g. version 2 to version 3) are free if you bought your license within 90 days of the major version release. Otherwise, you will get a discount.
What is the refund policy?
If you change your mind within 30 days of purchasing or upgrading a license, you can request a refund here.
